That was so damned cool :D not sure on the half hours discussion before each dip tho! :P

I love that monster long deep one near Coughton - gonna frighten my relatives next time they are up by going thro that bad boy again! The climb to the island really isn;t too bad at all - she coped well without a hiccup getting up there and back.

Nice to meet you all - expect the video and piccies soon I guess :)

Glad you Enjoyed it Andy.

Most of the Time I could've gotten away with not stopping but the CB not working properly mucked it all up!

The Great Alne Ford is definatly a Scary one when you first do it and it is difficult to see the Depth Marker at the Road End! It actually starts at 1ft and that Mark is on the Floor!! WRONG. IT STARTS AT 2FT DEEP ON THE FLOOR...WATCH IT

I Hope the Vids will be good as my Cam looks like it mucked up a bit!
But I got a nice one of the 3 of you coming through GA!!
And no Matt, I'm not going to Edit your Voice, I'll just add a warning about strong language! hee hee hee

It was great to finally meet you guys, now I know what faces go with what Names!!

Steve

P.S. How many noticed my Windscreen Decal??

<sing>Bobbing along on the crest of a wave...</sing>

What an excellent evening out that was :D

The trip started out a litte tame, but gradually got more exhilerating right up into the gand finale - was that a ford or part of the Shropshire Union Canal

It was good to finally put names to faces and kick off the Midlands Regional FOG social scene.

I'm stipping off the video at the mo and hope to post a few grabs before I leave for work.

Cheers SSteve - a good inaugral event.

you're a bad bad boy :)
thumbs up to toyota tho - seems like a nice truck :D

Think I might try Great Alne again at the weekend, but will leave the roof off the back of my shorty so the missus can stand in the back with the video camera for some cool swimming footage :)

Lawrence,

It does seem a little tame at the start but as Solihull & Barston Fords were dry I didn't include them! (Yes they were still dry after that rain!!)

Some good grabs from the Videos there!
Matt Making a Splash at Coughton
9 1/2 out of 10 From the German Judge!
You and Andy at Temple Balsall. Good ground for pics there!
That one from you in Great Alne is great! It makes a bit of a change when you get a good wave and it's lit by the Spots!

Matt,

Don't worry about the Language Mate, mine was a lot stronger the First time I did it! but then it was a few inches deeper then! lol.
And as that was your First Post. Welcome to the Forum)

Andy,

cool swimming footage

Don't throw the Dog in!!!!!!!

......

I completely forgot about the Bore Effect at Great Alne where the Bow Wave's squashed in! Great Effect!!

I'm glad you all enjoyed it and hopefully we'll do another soon!

Steve

Ok chaps, chapesses and chapettes, if you don't chuckle when you watch this, I'll be (slightly) dissapointed:

Clicky for video

I must aknowledge Sandy's excellent work on the camerea, and I appologies for the just about audible shhh

I daresay a longer version will be featuring on the next compilation DVD I put together :D

Enjoy

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It's not working on my Laptop!!!

WinMedia10, Latest Quicktime Download!!

Lawrence,
How big's the File Size???

I'll give Sandy full marks on getting into the best position!
I think his feet got wet on a couple where he was practically standing in the ford!!

I'm pretty sure I'll chuckle at you in Great Alne as that was your first time as well as Matts, and we've all heard his reaction! lol
