Yes Ste, I saw it, er them, er it - I think we were shouting on the CB at the same time.

Rob - I think this is a better pic for you: click me - That is the biggest I can upload to there - on my origonal, I can read the date on your tax disk (December). It's a little shaper although I had to clone out some people on the beach behind it.

Thanks for the comments on the piccies - the camera accompanines on most trips out. They're pretty good pictures, but I can still see where I need to improve (and that's the challange that keeps it interesting).

Some other reccolections on the meet.

  • It rained, quite heavy.
  • Talking about laning in the snow a few years back
  • The sun was hot
  • noisy RC's and our theoretical plotting to silence them
  • The conversation Rob had with canine
  • The lads footballs running off down the beach, with lad running after them.
  • The lad restling said footballs from three un-leashed (large) dogs
  • Subsequent bursting of footballs and appologetic strangers wife paying for replacements
  • Bloke (who parked next to us after a 50 mile journey) who went out on his kite surfer, and walked back soaked through having fallen off in some water
  • Black and white music
It's not always about the Fronteras - was a cracking afternoon out on the beach.

Rob, I don't know why, but I like this:

FOG on Mars by Trugga, on Flickr

A huge one can be found here

There's a few patches of sand that I missed, but if I started from scratch I'm sure it'd turn out differently - as a first attempt, I'm happy with it as it is.
