Re: Strata Florida & The Gap Rd Camping Weekend ReviewLooks like a fun weekend guys...and some of those lanes look interesting...
Who is up for doing these lanes is the snow....now that would be pukka and count me in if snow coincides with a weekend I'm not working! Jolly good pickies guys....well done Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4
Re: Strata Florida & The Gap Rd Camping Weekend ReviewThe Gap is closed in that season now I think
Saying that I did the easy peesy Wayfarer in the snow this year and we had some top modded trucks with us.......We got 50 yards into the 5 mile route and had to back out, even the tarmac road was a challenge Ste

Re: Strata Florida & The Gap Rd Camping Weekend ReviewWell it was definatly another cracking fog weekend Lots of laughs,Lots of and lots, lots and lots of cracking lanes and scenery
Din't take many pics as on the 1st day my batteries packed in and didn't get chance much on the 2nd day so heres my few shot while we sorted truggas electrical gremlin out on the gap posing shots few shots of the TOR route we did on sunday And if you wondered how "scratchy" it was look at my wing in the shot Colley "fell" off the trail And his recovery courtesy of trugga All in all a cracking weekend roll on the next one P.S i think andysd1 ought to have have a name change to fog cat as there was a rumour he had a furball Last edited by damrabbit on Mon Sep 28, 2009 7:54 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Strata Florida & The Gap Rd Camping Weekend ReviewGlad all and sundry got home safe, Who havent we heard from yet???
Re: Strata Florida & The Gap Rd Camping Weekend ReviewOoo, the Colley recovery - I'd forgotten about that
Also, big thanks to Alex... At the top of "blown bridge" on the Gap Road, I got out of the car to shoot some video. On returning to the car, it would not start. Occasionally the dash lights would come on but would turn off as the engine fired, then the engine died. Bonnet up and Alex was straight in there, prodding and poking again. Someone, cant recall who, spotted the interior light was on even though the dash lights were off, so Alex starts poking his fingers into the steering column adjustment hole and determines a loose wire. With the steering cowl now removed, a loose connection in a chocolate block connector was found to be loose. Once tightened and fully insulated, the Sport has not missed a beat since. Cheers Alex Lawrence
