Well, Just got back in from the day - and what a fantastic day it was! Started off a bit dodgy, due to the fact it decided to throw it down - but it soon wore itself out and the rain held off from when we got there until after we left ... however the downside (or upside, depending on your view!) is that the site was more than a little muddy The site was great, and really friendly. They looked after us first timers (of which 10 out of the 12 of us were) just fine. The other group we were with were very boisterous, but it turns out that was a good thing. After the "fear of god" safety talk, we were off and playing ... first shot that got me was in the neck - then throughout the day I was hit in various parts of the body. That was all fine - as the hits were longish-range so didn't sting too much. Then, for reasons unknown (I think I was hit by a moment of insanity), right at the end of the day I joined the "last man standing" game - basically all out war in a small space - and boy did that hurt. There aren't any photos of the games etc, as there wasn't any way of doing so - however there should at least be a group photo coming along! Thanks to all those that turned up and made it such a great day. Here's to the next one!

Thanks to everyone for a brilliant day out, and for making us so welcome on our first ever FOG event. We really enjoyed ourselves, and all have some 'war wounds'. Some worse than others. Little Headbanger is still buzzing about winning the stand of, haven't had the heart to tell him that they prob avoided him as he is young, and most of the others had their own vendettas to sort out. He can't wait to tell his mates and show of his injuries. On the way home we saw 3 green ovals on the hard shoulder (one being towed by highways agency) that just made the day even better. Thanks again to all for a brilliant day.
For what it's worth it was worth all the while It's something unpredictable but in the end is right I hope you have the time of your life

Woke up this morning and found another "war wound"! ruddy gert bruise on my knee. I ache in various areas, but luckly the hit to the jewels hasn't left a lasting impression. The most sore one is the one to my chest that Dannii got me with!

she seemed to enjoy it once she got into it. At one point she was stood there firing off paintballs like a demented rambo. I think that i got my own back (so to say) by getting her in another game, or it could have been the other way around. You can tell her that the bruising has started to subside and the numbness has gone...I think that I will live.
it was great fun though and I can't wait to "round 2"
