Some more pics from an absolutely cracking day out

Dan was the first to get stuck

Image

Image

So in went Bobby to recover him

Image

Image

Then Bobby got stuck - and decided to re-inforce his bullbars with lots of nice mud

Image

Image

Then Dan decided to find another hole to show off his axles ... and got stuck

Image

Image

Image

So Bobbly lent his weight to the problem ...

Image

Image

Then it was Mr Mucker's turn to get stuck

Image

So had to be pulled back by Bobby

Image

Image

Then came my turn to get stuck ...

Image

Image

Image

Image

While Fuddy was pulling me out, we heard word that Dan had decided to see how much he could get his truck to lean before it went over ...

Image

Image

Image

Image

Dan being winched back by a landy marked the end of the serious incidents ...

Image

then it was burger bar time!

Image

The weather was a bit bleak, but the company more than made up for it. As said, shame there were only the four frontys there. Thanks to Bobby and Fuddy for letting me ride in the passenger seat on the couple of full runs we managed to get (I really really need to get my tyres sorted!)

         People putting their names down and not turning up is a bit naughty to say the least, at least Angie had the decency to say beforehand that she couldnt make it.

Sorry, rant over

As Bobby mentioned, sadly only 4 frontys attended amongst a terrior sj and a bunch of Solihull nutters but as Jay said,A great time with lots of banter  Was great to meet Alchemist in person(aka Mr Linux!) as well meeting up again with the stokies  It was pretty cold & wet as well as the water levels at the site being a lot higher than when we had the first p&p here.As a result, there were plenty vehicles getting stuck   Thats got to be one of the good advantages of Holy in that everyone can gather round & watch the antics of others as the site is very walkable :D
From a fundraising point of view,we made a profit of £105 after paying the farmer his dues so thanks a ton to all those who supported the event  We now have £1060 in the bag towards our goal and I know Reeco still has a few tricks up his sleeve as well as the southern FOG event taking place a bit later :D
Here's a few pics I managed to take!

I can only imagine that a lot of people are staring to look at the costs involved in getting to events as money gets rather tight.I can honestly understand & support that but as you alluded to Ian, a wee pm would be nice jus to put one in the picture

Well what an absolute scream that site is.
Although i got stuck twice on the first two obstacles attempted the day did improve, it was great to get some input from Jase and Bobby with regards to water runs........ even if Bobby was sat next to me egging me on in the toy while his truck stayed on the car park, apparently the women were too comfy to move out. Personally i fink i was Bobby's guinea pig 'cos he didn't want to kill his truck AGAIN.
As far as the big lean i had on the photos don't do it justice really but i can state that my CD multi changer threw an error up because the angle of lean was to extreme for it. It was atrue brown trouser moment and i have never got out of a truck so carefully in my life.
It was agreat day and as Jay said although only 4 trucks made it to the meet we had a bloody good day with a shed load of good lighthearted banter.......... so here's to the next day out cos i for one can't wait.

Cheers again to the guys that made it and to those who didn't all i can say is " My god you missed one hell of a fun day"

Dan.
