Well what can i say............... it was bloody great!!!!
Only decided to go for definate last night and boy am i glad i did. I have never know mud like it but can honestly say i haven't giggled that much for a long long time.
It was nice to meet some more people off the site and i got to take the toy to places i didn't think it would make it,( it pains to say but having a Landy.....or two, with a winch tends to give you confidence to try things you wouldn't normally contemplate).
The day has made me realise that a body and suspension lift is gonna happen sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately that was the last outing for the toy until after the holidays as i gotta save the pennies now, but i can't think of how i could have topped that for a send off..... Roll on the end of August.

Once again thanks to everyone i met and cheers for making it a top day, i hope there will be many more.

Cheers
Dan

Cracking video Lawrence, Just uploading pics and wot nots now.

Not a bad site, My first time there, unfortunately it rained :( :( :( This kinda ruined it for me as a lot of the more technical stuff was in the forest and I didnt fancy sliding into any trees. Very wet with thick clay like mud that stuck to everything. For a change I powerwashed the car and gave it a good shampooing when I got home, first time in a while. Although I hosed the radiator and thought I got everything out at the site before we left when I hosed it out at home it was a good 15 mins before the water running through the fins was clear. Was good to see all the faces again. Thankfully my recovery was only a small one and I didnt suffer any undue water or mud ingress into the car. I did have fun hosing a tonne of gunk off the drive after Id washed the car tho.

That red Zuki that was leaning over eventually did fall on its side. We said we would go and get some proper help for him but he tried driving out of the sticky situation he found himself in and he fell off the bank onto his side, about 2 or 3 feet. A big V8 Range Rover snatched him right side up and he eventually made his way home on the back of a tow truck.

The mud run up the hill was a lot of fun and in the almost tractionless conditions it made for an interesting drive, a test of not only machine and how much (or little) traction your tires can get but also of the driver as you try and stop your vehicle from going sideways which was rather tricky indeed.

Will post more tomorrow with pics. Shattered now so going to bed. Hope everyone had a good day.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

My insa sahara's proved their worth, never got stuck once :P
However, the rear window on the sport shattered without any reason when going over a twisty bit, maybe due to the body flexing and having slid into a tree earlier. Will send you a PM Jase.

As I said a great day and most of all .... spent in great company, Thanks Folks!!

Thanks Mate :D
I'd got the back window tinted, never realy liked it as it severely reduced your vision, esp at night. However the film kept the majority of the glass together making removal a piece of cake and was able to put it straight in the bin on the car park without making a mess to clean up and having glass every where in the back of the truck.
