Beach 4x4ing in Scotland

Postby chrisv on Sun Apr 04, 2010 12:06 pm

Hiya all.
Thanks for the welcome on previous post.
Its good to be here... :D
Just wondering, is it legal to take the 4x4 on some beaches across Scotland?
I enjoy sea fishing and what a wonder it would be to fish a beach mark right out the comfort of my Vauxhall Frontera.
Its perfectly legal to do it in parts of Africa and the great thing about it is there are no traffic light, stop streets, etc and if supposidly you did bump some body, less paper work as no road markings etc,,, LOL

Nice idea in principal but not legal in any way at all :)

You should check with your local authority first... or any harbour/waterfront associated that own the beaches you're looking to use but they'll all most likely say no.

Anyway, that defeats the purpose - one doesn't go fishing to sit in their 4x4! :P :D
