From Carlisle the borders and North
by slapshotDTSneil on Fri Feb 20, 2009 4:15 pm
Phoned the landowner at Newtonhill ATV and asked if me and my buddies can go over for a play sunday 1st March. No problem he says, no one else booked in so site is available, £15 per truck. My first off roading for 3 months (lets hope the Fronty passes MOT on Monday ) My mate got a 4x4 a couple months ago and is itching to get playing, so his first offroad outing, and i'm gonna ask on the Tay 4x4 forum if anyone there wants to come. All on FOG are invited to come pay and play or just spectate/social, Sunday 1st March 10am. It would be good to put faces to names and see some other Frontys. so for a bit of this viewtopic.php?f=64&t=18999&p=214449&hilit=+newtonhill#p214449come here Sunday 1st March http://www.newtonhillatv.co.uk/Let me know if your coming, or just turn up.

aye, and the guy needs to take that off, its no longer possible, if only. although, while out in my travels in the work wagon in highland perthshire, i spotted some tracks near the road, possibly an old road or drove road, that goes up and over some hills and looks fab to explore, farm nearby, i keep meaning to get the os maps out, or go in and ask the farmer fit like, any chance.

had a great time playing today but i had to cut it short as i smashed my front diff and tazzman smashed his front hub . the water traps where full and i had water coming in my heater vents at one point when i first done one of the runs . only 4 trucks showed up but it was still a good time. cheers slapshot it was good to catch up with you again mate. i put some of todays photos up on offroad media. i have put one of the videos on google video the title is .frontera at newtonhill 4x4 playing go have a look and i will stick up some more {dont no where you went neil and with only 2 wheel drive i could not get back up the hill to tell you we were going sorry mate }
