Beginners Off-Road day tomorrow

Postby Steve-C on Sat Jul 14, 2007 9:32 am

Morning all,

I'm going up to the event in the greenlannin / fording section. I'll be going on my own and just thought I would offer my spare seats to anybody who might like to come and experience the day?

Will probably be leaving Swansea around 6.30 am. Let me know if anyone wants to come with!

Cheers

Steve

Just a quick point here, that the start and end points are about 30 miles apart, so ifone vehicle is left at the start, there is about a 60 mile round trip - probably better to meet up "nearer home" so to speak.

Good initiative Steve.

Oh, we won't actually be off-roading as we will always be on a road (a byway that legally permits motorised vehicles) - just that these byways don't have a tarmac'd surface.

Well, I was thinking of the Swansea-ish crowd, cars could be left near mine for the day. I know there are several members who may not want to get their cars dirty / risk breaking them. However I don't mind getting mine muddy and thought it would be a good experience for them.

Mr-T if you want to come, you may not drive (I know what happens when owners let others drive! ) However, I'll be leaving my house at 6am (which will hopefully be enough time to get to the start point!), so it will be an early start and long day, but I am sure a very worthwhile one!

So any takers????
