If you want to get muddy in Wales, go find a Pay & Play site.
If you fancy exploring the ancient heritage of byways in an area, drive with due consideration to the locals and other byway users and the rest of us may continue to enjoy said lanes.
Due to the activities of a minority, the anti-4x4 brigade managed, through Parliament, to reduce the byway network open to motorised vehicle by half - do not give them more ammunition to get us banned from the rest of the network.

The main reason i don't know any local lanes is because i wont go on my own. The only laneing i have done has been on trips organised on this forum, lead by experienced, responsible people.

I would only wish to undertake a pay and pay site, byway laws are too ........well you know complicated and liable to prosecution only a court room away.
I may try and find some choice country lanes these are nice to drive too

Hi,hope you don't mind me suggesting here, but wouldn't a O/S map tell you where the byways are etc? Think thats what they are called "O/S maps", they have more details on them and should show all sorts on them.. Hope that was of some use, but don't take my word for it I can get lost using Tom Tom! Hope you do get the chance to go around Wales as its lovely here.. Good Luck! Regards Roo
