help with this appreciated

Postby byronyasgur on Sat Feb 09, 2008 8:39 pm

hi - the steering has just gone on my fronty - it is an opel frontera ( rep of ireland - but same vehicle as the vaux ) .... i have been told by a garage that i need a new steering rack, but now that i see that there was a recall i am wondering:

a)could it cover my problem
b)there is no mention of it here in ireland and even though i know the cars are the exact same i am wondering how i would go about getting the car recalled ( if it's the same problem ) .. i presume a main dealer would know about it.

thanks - any help appreciated

ps one of the reasons i am so sure i have this problem is because i have noticed a fair ammount of "pulling to the left" which i see is connected

Hi I have just bought a Frontera 2.4i 1994 M Reg. Is my car affected by any of the recalls? Would these things have been automatically fixed by previous owners or will I have to check.

I would check with Vauxhall, as you can never be sure a previous owner had been bothered to do it.

I don't think my tank has been done, so I'll be checking with Vauxhall tomorrow. I did have it done to my 94M plate one back in 95/96.
