:D :D It's the huge grey middle aged army of hikers and walkers in Britain who expect to go out and find tranquility on demand. Guess we're part of it :D :D Hikers hate the Bikers; Bikers hate the horseriders; and everyone hates the offroaders. It's a British culture I'm afraid.

We look upon it as Safari every time we hit the Manchester traffic, or use the damned awful road surfaces around parts of Cheshire. Fronteras are good for this. 'They' expect you to be a bit rough and ready in a Frontera and give you a wide berth - that just suits us fine. You should see the way we throw about those big chunky bodies amongst the Mercs and BMWs of Wilmslow (the 4x4s are ok too :D ), or the way we hit that roundabout onto Brooklands Road, Sale, - absolutely terrifying!! When those 2 lane roads merges into one and I straddle the line between lanes deliberately, those BMWs just submit and hold back.

Life is so exciting isn't it?

Tony.
