Plain & straight answer is a big fat no!! They’ve got it as a fail on the system. Sorry before computerisation you’d of got away with it but now if you get pulled over or involved in an accident your screwed

A couple of years back I had a vehicle fail with a few weeks left on the old ticket. Despite this, the car showed up as having an mot on the computerised system right up to the date the original expired.
So I would say the answer to your question is that you would still have a valid MOT, but you would be knowingly driving an unroadworthy vehicle.

just looking back at last years mot and saw there wqas an advise on drop link rods showing slight wear if only done about 500 miles since then but guess id better change before it goes in .My question is looking on e bay prices vary between £45.00 a pair down to £8.00 so is there likely to be a vast difference in quality and secondly if i buy are they a fairly easy job to do for an amateur spanner monkey
