As many of you know, I run Fronty4x4spares, probably now europes largest parts suppliers for used A and B series Vauxhall frontera parts...
One question I find myself always struggling to get an answer to, to establish parts compatibility and to make certain which model, is
"which frontera do you have A or B series"?
To complicate things more, the 2.2i petrol is available on both A and B, so engine type wont always help...
and many people rarely use 4x4 to know the difference in 4wd selection, perhaps without having the car in front of them, so asking this often draws a blank.
Some think the facelifted A's (96 on) are a B, when they are a cosmetically altered A.
So what is the answer...?
Well the answer is really really simple...
One thing all Fronty owners have in common is feeling the pain of putting fuel in them, especially as eco-box small cars deliver 60mpg plus these days...
...so this experience is one that stays with us all...
So the answer to is yours an A or a B series, is very simply....
Which side is the fuel filler cap?
All A series Fronteras have the fuel filler on the Right hand side, and all B's have it on the Left hand side...
