Technic Tyres All Terrain AT 245 70 16 A/T 4x4 TyresThinking off buying a set of these for my truck only remoulds though but nice and cheap any body any experience with them?
Re: Technic Tyres All Terrain AT 245 70 16 A/T 4x4 Tyresthought this deal to good only £45.00 per tyre but still out of stock
Re: Technic Tyres All Terrain AT 245 70 16 A/T 4x4 TyresHad a set of these on my old V6, compared to the Grabbers i have on my new V6, i found the sidewalls very flexible, ie going around corners you could feel the Technics flexing, and they do start perishing and cracking earlier than other tyres i`ve used, saying that, they were ok for what i wanted.
Ultimately, you get what you pay for,
Re: Technic Tyres All Terrain AT 245 70 16 A/T 4x4 TyresAs rf9rider says, any remould tends to wear and degrade quicker than a new build tyre. They also tend to be heavier and more difficult to balance but £45 a tyre is VERY cheap and in fact below what we would normally pay as a "Trade Price" for that sort of thing.
A slightly better quality option would be the EVENT ML698 Tyre which is also an A/T and can be bought for around £60 each. The Avon Ranger ATT is a much better A/T Tyre and can be had for around £70 each. Goodyear Wrangler are very respectable A/T but they are around £80 a Tyre which is nearly double the price of your Technics. To be honest if you can get them for £45 each then at that price you wouldnt really worry if they only lasted a couple of years.......
