2.2 dti faults ??

im off to look at a 2001 2.2dti 110000 miles what should I be looking out for on these and whats any known faults (oter than dash lights) that I spot I ve only had petrol fronteras before and mainly petrol cars so any advise would be greatly appreciated tia :D

Check the eml comes on and goes out as some people remove the bulb to hide a fault. Check the 4wd engages and disengaes via the button on the dash (obviously don't drive round with it on). It's not a speed machine put should pull freely and not run out of puff up hill. Open rear dorrs and check sills for rust.

Some service history would be good and if it's had a new fuel pump fitted even better.

Try to check the metal fuel pipes between the fuel tank and chassis for corrosion and leaks too.

was not a sucsess been to look at what was advertised as very clean and tidy happened to have scrapes scratches or dents of some shape or form on every panel safe to say I said mate its .... and walked away
