Evening all

Postby SPEEDBIRD 202 on Tue Nov 25, 2014 7:04 pm

Well I haven't been a visitor to the Forum for a while but I have just managed to get the old girl through another MOT. Needed welding-up this time though, the arse end was starting to fall-out...........Image Image

I cant believe how long I've had this Frontera - the time has gone real fast. Looking around I cant but help notice that some of the long term regulars have now disappeared and retired from active duty :o

Is Drift still an active member - he always did like me Image

ATB to you all .....

Hi mate nice to see you on again! Unfortunatly things have changed a lot. Drifty is still here as he is part owner of the site with Rich but because he no longer has a Frontera it seem's he has lost interest and his new job is keeping him busy. A few of us old fahrts are still here like Gregster  but a lot of people have changed lifestyles and don't have as much time to get on.
Hopefully in the new year it will pick up again.

Hi 4x4 bobby,

thanks for the reply and information about what is happening on the forum.

I'm one of the old farts on here now, I cant believe I still own a Fronty, just cant afford to change it though  Anyway I am going to make a point of visiting here more often and start posting again.

I remember the old boy who used to post here all the timeImage - (remember him) the owner of a maroon fronty estate. A real shame he is still not around any-more.

Hello to all the folks on the Forum,

It's nice to see that the forum is still up and running. I still have me Fronty but not sure for how much longer, the dreaded MOT is on the horizon and I am thinking of maybe getting a car. Anyway lets see how the MOT goes first ...

Best regards - and thanks to the guys who keep the Forum operational

Hi stretch that sounds interesting about the club stand, I just might pay you all visit - if the Fronty can get me there :)

I have had this car a lot of years now and it needs a new exhaust, I cant believe how much they cost (£400) and thats if you can make the parts person understand what bits you need  There seems to be different types of pipes. If anyone has got any answers please let me know :?

Cheers guys,

I'm assuming you're looking for an exhaust for the shorty in your profile? £400

I can't be sure THIS is fir the shorty, you'd have to message them to be sure.

The cheapest exhaust supplier I found was onlineautomotive.co.uk Only problem is that supplies are starting to run out for some older Fronties.

Hi buddy, I'm one of the old farts too. lol.
I no longer have Braveheart, although I did have him for nearly 12 years.
I still like to pop in nearly every day, even though I don't always play a part, so to speak.
Really just to help if I can.
Now have a 2005 Shogun Sport, so also on that site now.
Take care, and nice to see the old motor is still on the road.
Regards, Keith.

1 in every 100 people are Coeliacs.
One of them is me.

got my exhaust welded for £20 and working a treat

regarding the site its probably the best going (since carlsberg don't do...) esp with all the threads and pics.

I've replaced the fuel pump & injectors and welded the sills and its given it a new lease of life at 16yrs, thanks to the forum :drink:

I suppose I might qualify as an "old fart" on here, definitely old. Been on here a good while, longer than I've the fronty which was bought in 2008 and yes I still got it and in daily use. paint work ain't what it was due to a few scratchy lanes.

2.8's seem to go on forever. Currently collecting parts from trooper 3.1's to do an axle conversion which will give me an LSD in the rear and an Aussie lokka in the front.

Cheers

Stuart
