Removed the black tint on my Frontera's rear light clusters, as I got bored with them being tinted. What a messy and sticky job that was but it was worth it.

Today I think I found a Fronty to buy. 2.5 diseasel, already lifted on big rubber. I got a court case on 4th August - I'm suing someone - and if I win, which I'm confident I will, ill have a load of compo and a shed load of my own money freed up so i'll be buying it.

Over the weekend I got the new wheel cylinders fitted and brakes bled Also bought myself a cheap supercharger from China to see if I could up the power of the old 2.4 lump, after a bit of a fiddle and some head scratching got it fitted in such a way that you can't even see it when you open the bonnet
If it aint broken, you havent tried hard enough
Heaven wont take me and Hell is scared i will take over

Re-welded the twin rear exhaust boxes, after they have been laying in the shed for nearly a year and they will be back on my Frontera tomorrow.

Finally got round to replacing the front exhaust down pipe, after having the brand new one since 2014 and the twin rear exhaust boxes are finally back on.

Over the weekend I've put the new engine and gearbox in the 2.8 ( I had a bit of help from bobbingjob AKA Ian the other day )
It's up and running. I had a test drive of 25miles. I've missed driving the fronty. Couple of small issues to sort out. Oil return pipe from the turbo has a small leak at the bottom. Oil pressure gauge is sitting past the red line when driving. And the temperature sits at 3/4. Plus it's a little bit slower than then old engine was.

Give it a wash as coming weekend we will have the annual meet of German opel4x4 at Idar-Oberstein. Hope weather will improve a bit - last night there they had only 4°C.
Not that many seem to come due to work/holiday/other interests... Some of our 'veterans' announced to come with Defender or Peugot-Dangel 4x4.. I am a bit curious.
Kind regards, Ian Sorry for my pigeonenglish. My doctor says I have to invest time in SPORT

Did the B series originally have a MUA5 gearbox onto the original engine?

Yer they do just having problems getting the clutch to work as there was to much free play between release bearing and pressure plate. Been having a good play about with it today and it looks like the pressure plate is compressing to much

Did you swap the bellhousings over and then use the 2.8 clutch/flywheel/release bearing. e.g. 2.8 gearbox with 3.2 V6 bellhousing:

Yer used bell housing but not flywheel. Using the vx brava solid flywheel 2.5td as that's all I could get at the time.

3.1 TD would of done as well. It is solid as well. Did you drop the spacer between the engine and gearbox?
