Oil Cooler Advise

Postby pokdub on Tue Oct 02, 2007 2:35 pm

I can get my hands on this Oil Cooler reasonably cheap, like £9.50 pp.

It is for a Vectra 2ltr diesel.

The only difference I can see is the location of one of the water tube connectors. On my car the left inlet connector is on top of the box housing
I may need a longer piece of rubber tubing.

Should I go for it ????

:ggod post: It's always good to get bargains - even if they are of no imeadiate use. Just missed out on a turbo and intercooler for the 2.8 - Don't need them, but always good to have :D

Postscript.

I took delivery of the Vectra cooler. Virtually identical in all respects, except left inlet pipe location.

Tried to fit to the Frontera, however the left pipe inlet was hitting against engine block. Hence the proper Frontera cooler has the left inlet on top on the box.

Had to fork out on proper replacement unit, 164euro.
Fitted now, all working nicely.

Putting Vectra one back on ebay.
