Right then boyos. I have spoken to "Woodzie" on Surf Forum and he has agreed to take a group out exploring the Plains :D :D
Won't be able to do so until after September and subject to his shift pattern. So we need to get an idea of numbers interested/donations etc, maybe arrange two dates if there are enough of us interested.

Just had second e-mail from Ian, he likes to run groups of 6, but is looking to recruit a second leader, so we could run two groups if there are enough of us. we'll have to see how many Standard type fronties wanna come (like mine) which will determine where we go.....don't wanna all get stuck do we :lol: :lol:

Think a standard fronty could handle this viewtopic.php?f=64&t=13683

Carls being very quiet about this one Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Anyway, got a dialogue going with Ian (woodsie/yeti/biohazard) here;
http://forums.bauchan.org/4x4/topic.php?id=917

provional dates for him are 11th or 18th October, he can arrange a pub lunch for those who want it (Jude) and he has found another leader, so numbers can be 12 total....so 10 plus the leaders.
Some basic rules to follow
NO OFF-PISTE (apparantly theres some live audience? around there.... :? ) and range wardens get peeved if you do :!:

sorry live ORDINANCE :oh yer: (bombs and stuff) that'll really spoil your day

I know my fronty is bog standard, so I need to be a bit careful, specially around water, if you've seen "Chicken run" video do you think we would all be able to cope with that? (apart from the lake at the end)

Don't think Carl is about at the mo, not sure if his truck will be back on the road by then but fingers crossed it will. Can people give their opinions on a lunch break (pub) just so we know what people want to do.

I think we can handle most of what is on the vid. Obviously some of that mud looked pretty slippy but it looked like most of those smurfers were on ATs, all depends on the weather leading upto it.

Hmm...well I'm not going to sit in there on my own..LOL :oops: :roll: :lol:
I'm happy with bag of crisps and a sarnie on the move if everyone else is.... :wink: :lol:
By saying yes to the pub lunch I was trying to push Jim kicking and screaming into being more of a social butterfly...pmsl.... :twisted:

That is the best idea, shorter days by then so it will be best to have as much time for driving as possible. Don't like digging out stuck smurfs on a full belly anyhow :lol: :lol:
