There are occasions when you need to drive off-road, that is not green laning or play days...
As a Motorsports Association licensed radio operator, I often have to get my car (with the radio equipment installed) to a predetermined location - so there is a need for me to drive off-road.
Here is a little video (6½ minues) of a drive through Radnor forest (mid Wales). You can clearly hear the radio chatter, discussing alternative routes and problems encountered by other marshals, but my buddy (in a Landrover 90 on MT's behind me) and I just followed the route and drove it as we saw it.
The journey was probably about 50 minutes in total. Whist it was not wild, it was very real. Enjoy

Once we (and other safety/radio marshals) were in position, the competition could begin - Video Clip
If you are interested in marshalling on motorsport events (off-road or stage rally) give me a shout as volunteer marshals are rewuired most weekends throughout the UK.
