Hi Colley

Any idea of dates yet as I'm looking at doing France, Spain and north morocco end of September early October next year with the 4x4 overland guys that were at the show this year.
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

I'm looking at going for 3weeks spending a week driving down through France stopping off in Andorra then going into Spain off road over the old smugglers route then driving down to Malaga and meeting the other guys there for 2weeks in north east morocco then back up to Santander or Bilbao then ferry home.
We have 3 vehicles going from this country and are meeting another guy in Malaga who has a garage there who is travelling down with us after any fettling that needs doing
There's always room for you matey if your up for it.
If you can't get the 3 weeks off you could always ferry down to Spain and meet up in Malaga and do the 2 weeks
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

No idea of costs yet but apart from spending money preparing the 2.2 I'm looking to do it as cheap as possible without missing out too much.

For me I reckon on around £1000 on fuel and ferry costs for the vehicle which split between two people is not too expensive, food I would have to buy if I stayed at home the only other costs would be camping and with France's network of aire's and wild camping most nights in Morocco it's going to be far cheaper than the holiday err in doors has me on at the moment

One thing on the fuel front cost wise taking a detour through Andorra filling the truck and two Gerry cans should cost about £60 to £70 enough for about 400 to 600 road miles depending on how the times going and if I need to push on or drive at a steady pace so Spain done for less than £100 pounds

Well mileage wise its 850 mile each way then what ever fuel you use while your there
Ferry/tunnel return is about £120 could be cheaper dependent when you book.
I am thinking about a mixture of camping and hotels/B+B while we are there.

I would say at max £1000 but should be less
Thats including food etc....could be even cheaper dependent on how many days we camp

Camping in January in the Alps
I expect most of the routes may well be out of action when it snows there it doesent muck about it tends to get 6 foot deep, and I don't care how much of a lift you've got you're not going far in that much snow lol
