As discussed on the Yahoo email list, here is a posting to try and see what everyone needs doing, and where we all are. At least then this will be the first step to getting our big opel jeeps sorted, and ready for more action in the mud. After this, area rep's will probably have to organise something local in their areas, or one big meet if not that many people are interested.
Please be aware that anyone working on your car will not be liable for failures or accidents resulting from workmanship - that's why I think it's best to get the best mechanics / enthusiasts involved along with the owners to make sure everyone is happy with the outcome. That being said, it might be nice for everyone to chip in with a bit of a payment for the guys doing the sweat work at the end of the day!
Try and remember that volunteers probably won't be too keen on trying to shoe horn that Lotus Carlton engine into your '94 SWB - so keep the requests respectable!
Try and list :
Your name
Your email address
Your Fronty specs (i.e. 1996 SWB 2.0 petrol X20)
Where you are in country (town & county)
What you would like to get done (i.e. suspension lift, wheel spacers, flux capacitor fitment)
I hope this is the start of something useful and fun!
Cheers,
Apache-Andy.

OOOO i have a dream for mine but not confident to do it.
Thats 2" possibly 3" suspension lift to my 96 Sport S sprung depending on the cost.
Failing that changing the gear box oil will suffice.

longer shocks £35 a corner

Easy job.

no one ever showed me to do anything, i couldnt afford to pay a mechanic so i took it up as a hobby.
Since then headgaskets are now an easy task and have also worked on hgv's, if youve enough enthusiasm and interest then anything can be learnt.
But im a teacher by day
