Well, well, well - what a disaster - was on my way up to Frickly 4x4 nr Doncaster for a nice day of Pay & Play in the Mud but unfortunately had to stop half way to call the AA - after a long conversation, several test's & a lot of if's & but's we agreed on the fact that my Head Gasket is slowly but steadily failing

So to limit the damage to car & engine, I decided to be recovered back home, having now the pleasure of sorting out this rather expensive problem . I knew that it would be coming at some point but was hoping to do a proper engine overhaul later on in the year - well, now its a good selection of gasket's, a new thermostat, water pump & timing belt kit -might as well get it all done whilst it is stripped down.

Never mind - we do love our Fronties don't we

Just a shame that I can't do it myself to safe some money - hope the Garage down the road isn't to expensive - than again, they are specialized in Engine Building & Overhaul

did it over heat my frontera of heated at donny from mansfiled ( going to leeds) i had done radioter & new gasket done! know my frontera fine

Yup, was running constantly hot despite the fact of having a manual override - also did an exhaust leak test through the radiator/coolant and the tester picked up exhaust gases in the coolant i.e. it's leaking inside rather than out - pump & thermostat seem to work but as I said, might as well get it all done whilst it is stripped.

Let's hope it's not MEGA Bugs - can get the parts cheap enough but the labour will be crashing

Anyway, let's hope for the best

thanks my friend, much appreciated. Waiting for a quote at the moment - timewise it doesn't seem to be a problem, just hope the costs aren't killing me
