well our first trip out we went to corwen in wales and we loved it,i dont know about oldham way but if you dont mind travelling all i can say is give it a go you will love it.We last went out with furio around buxton and the peaks and all i can say was that jim was a brilliant lead car to follow looking forward to my next outing and if i can sort a route out around matlock we could start after bacon butties at chez Audra when i ask her :D

Someone mention laning?
iam near oldham and know a couple of very short routes around there but if you ever fancy meeting up and exploring a few tracks let me know.
ive spent a while looking at clubs in the area and all i could find were a couple but you needed a pretty modded truck to keep with em and my 3.2 V6 is pretty standard and finding other people with a similer interest around here is not as easy as it sounds.

well me and drift were in butterton yesterday visiting a mate, a very sexy mate, hey ste, she owns a pub, a big one, with big carpark, and we might see what lanes are around there,

Anyway Im not sure it would be good for a first timers meet as we dont know the lanes that well, worth sticking to the trusted Welsh lanes on a first timers day I think, no farting about with maps either :lol:
