Well done for helping him out.
I think the tyres where disabled so the car couldnt be moved and they could get back and finish their scummy job of stripping it and getting the wheels and other bits off.

just glad someone bought me a "t-max" compressor for Christmas :wink:

. blew the tyres up no prob. just nicked the vave caps off another car so as i could tow it off the lane. he going back up with a trailer to fetch it.

if it was it was not visible from the road so i would take it someone knew it was there.

when i got to it, i just didnt know what to say on the cb as he was further back in another car. he laughed and joked abit, but think he was angry and upset. :cry:

It's at times like this where you wish you could just batter the living pooh out of the culprits. There is just no respect for property these days.

I'm only 28 so relatively young but this thing sickens me. I was brought up to leave other peoples property well alone. I dunno, words just fail me.

Unbelievable! I cant say I blame him for being angry or upset. Makes you wonder what you would do if you did find who was responsible. Off the beaten track as well. Vandalism for the sake of it.

After seeing that - If i ever get stuck in my truck i am sleeping in it till some one comes and gets me out. In this day and age your belongings just arent safe anymore!! Such a real shame.
i bet it was his pride and joy - I would be so upset if that happened to me!

Starting point........

Start of recovery..........

At this point the land rover was attached to BRF`s fronty which in turn was attached to a Zuk to aid in the initial icy uphill climb..

From this point BRF pulled him out of the lane unaided .........

The step that caused the burst rear diff.........

The section that was covered by the first recovery attempt (aborted due to worsening weather)

Sorry I couldn't make it Neil, was stuck doing the christmas thing. Am sort of glad I wasn't up there having seen them pics. Nothing short of shameful, its a shame we couldn't find out who's done it. Its deffo fellow laners to have stripped the parts like that, no question. There's some scumbellys out there, indicative of society today. B###ards.
