Hope every one got home ok.Didn't touch a pc when I got in cause of the kids being up from 4.30 bloody clock change  still I got a bit of a lie in :D
Well what a cracking day out did a few lanes i've never done before and a few the other way round nice to see a couple of new faces as well. Even better the guest of honor was Brandon and got say the lift is dogs danggleys and he loved his first lanning trip 8)
Right we meet in Hartington at 9.15 for a 9.30 start the first lane was a right wake up call looked a nice easy lane from the start then turned in to a nice slippy limestone climb 8) which was a bit damp from the previous days rain then the route went pear shaped and we did the next few in a different order than I intended  back on track again we made off for Monyash and a few in this area, then over to Chelmorton for the limestone way and then to Monsal Head which we descended for a change. We decided that it was best to go down one at a time in case of trucks coming up which turned out to be the best thing coming up the other way Fourtrack,Vitara & Disco the Vit had blown it's front diff and got stuck on the second climb & took about 30mins to recover resulting in the hillside been torn up  and then a couple of clowns drivning off the lane at the top.We then made off over to Buxton after a quick repair on Alex's Exhaust we finished off the Macc old road then one over the back of Macc forest then a quick stop at the cat & fiddle pub where it was coming down like stair rods we all made for home.Pics to follow.Going do it again soon
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!

Yes :D A great days laning! Cheers John for doing the planning & leading  Nice to be in the company of a few frontys again
As John mentioned, this was a milestone laning day for me as it was my sons first try at joining us on the lanes and keeping in mind he has not even sat in a car seat for around 7 years, Im very proud of him  When I have taken a few photo's of the kit, I'll post sommat up for all to see as the foggers played a great part in raising the funds
Also, it was the first time I'd had the Cherry on a few rough lanes and despite the rear tyres rubbing on the fender arches (cause Ive been too lazy to fit the lift kit  ) ,it drove fantastic! Laning in an auto is very different indeed :o
Cheers again John & to all for allowing a yank 4x4 in yer midst
Here are a few, rather boring piccys but you can make out the tw@ts who went off piste on Monsal
