A bit of a jaunt

Postby Drift on Wed Dec 24, 2008 7:06 pm

I had a bit of a jaunt today, my mate GED from Differs was asked if me and him could help Colin out from http://www.4xfun.net ( Ive done photo's for the site 8) )
Colin had a large party to cater for and he was letting the kids drive in the Jimny, he asked us to take adults around the site in my car and a bit of shooting using targets.

We did manage to get my car rather stuck in a ditch before the punters arrived, it went in, struggled to get out, flooded the rear foot wells but boot seal help water out  , we used a few stones got it up the bank, but it bellied out on the top, a quick tug with the Jinmy winch and it was out

Then we did our job and the kids had a great time driving ( so did we  )

I must say the Jimny was brilliant to drive and I am seriously considering getting one, one unstoppable car, it just kept going the diamond back tyres helped though.

I think I may have killed the alternator as its only pushing out 11.5V since its long dip :(

A few random pics

Ace piccies Ste, My eldest daughter wants a go up there.

How did the buckshots fair as I'm looking at getting a set but was wondering if the Macho's pattern was a better option

The buckshots did very well, I reckon the macho pattern in the same size would be better, but they can only be gotten in remould and I found remoulds wear alarmingly fast  8 or 9k and they are nearly gone.

They are a eck of a lot quieter on the road though :D

Get your daughter booked in, think Colin is doing some offers, Ill pop over, mention me
