Did about half of the TOR Ridgeway route this evening. It was only me, despite posting an invite on 3 different forums (ok it was short notice) there were no takers.
It was the first laning trip in the Fronty since finishing all the various mods so was a little nervous especially as I had no one with me cos you never know
Arrived in Chiltern just after 6pm, not may photos of the run as I wanted to get as many lanes in as possible before dark.
Overall it was quite an easy route, nothing that stretched the Fronty anyway
Some really pretty views, lots of quite flat fields, gentle hills and loads of wildlife, saw several foxes, loads of rabbits and hares and even what I think was a little deer
Most of the lanes were well signposted telling you their status so there was no ambiguity as to what the lane classification was
First few lanes were mostly gravel or chalk and had a firm surface with the odd muddy patch here and there but got more interesting as the route progressed
And then there was this one, yes there is a lane down there and in need of some serious pruning, quite slippy in places and very very tight, paintwork got well tickled
Then it got dark so no more piccies but did find this underpass on one of the lanes, with lights
