Food at the annual

Food at the annual

Postby stretch on Fri Feb 05, 2016 8:07 am

As the uptake for this years annual has been lower than expected i'm looking at alternatives for the sat/sun bbq this year in relation to supplies.

1, We do a food list where everybody brings something but this would make it unfair for the people who have to buy burgers due to the cost.

2, We each bring our own meat and one item off the list.

3, We sort out our own food.

If we do any of the above and after final price from the site it will be slightly cheaper than the orginally quoted 80 as i would not have to supply all the food.

What are peoples thoughts?

I'm happy to go with the majority descision here.

If you do go for a food list, I've no problems with fetching a box of burgers (48) or a box of sausage (80), or both. I get them trade

If you want to go for the traditional bbq, then there's a bookers c&c in Macclesfield

Happy either way, just let me know
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ;) )

Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck.

Happy to bring own food and just have a communal bbq and a volunteer chef so we still get the group bbq atmosphere, otherwise I fear everyone will bugger off to fry up some bangers and we'll loose the atmosphere of it all

I'm happy any which way, though would've thought logistically 2 or 3'd be easier? I like Dan's idea - a communal BBQ'd be good but I can imagine people getting annoyed when someone's sausages take longer than theirs and they have to wait
