Well we have made it back to Harlow just  all the lights decided to throw a wobble as well as the immobiliser. I had no lights so I couldn't use the rear fog lights as a brake light.

Back and proper sleeps in a proper bed, a shower and feeling vaguely human again.... 8)

What a blinder though... :drink: :drink: :drink:

Great to meet everyone, some again, some for the first time.

Finally got to meet the "rich" and now can certainly confirm that he is wierder in person than in cyber-fog world...great to meet him though, and his Bro Pete...the man who can be blamed for starting all our madness.

Arrived saturday afternoon in my vw caddy pickup  , with was to be my "apartment" for the night...I kinda fitted, just, diagonally, although any similarity between a bed liner and a proper bed are purely in name alone. Space was assisted by the lack of tools I needed to bring, in fact none at all, cos I drove up in a Veedub sooner than a fronty! LOL.
After saying hello , and emptying the caddy full of fronty bits...it was apparant that the sun was over the yard-arm, and it was definately beer oclock...
The clock must have stuck though....cos it was still beer oclock at 3am-ish!
Jim (aka DJ Spatula) was working the twin BBQ's like a Dj with a pair of technics finest's...dropping some great burgerage as the sun set...making a proper meal of stuff, both on the 4x4 course and at the BBQ...top man.
The left hand drive contingent did a wonderful pork spitroast...and bought some of there "interesting" native beverages again too...which were almost as eyewateringly disturbing as when I got to sit in the driver seat of Ians back to front (well side to side) fronty. Great to see you guys again, always a real pleasure.
Then came the raffle, I think nearly everyone won something, even if bobby won it for them LOL...Gazzebo won the "mystery prize", which was pretty apt I think! Big thanks to everyone for their generosity for the prizes...and snappers misses for being the "bingo caller"...and almost loosing her voice into the deal...Its so nice to see how many Foggers, once they had won something, who then when they won again declined a second prize to give someone else a chance...really shows the sharing spirit of FOG.

The night went on and as the moon rose, the tone of conversation and humour plunged...needless to say Fudge astounded everyone with his unparalelled levels of wierdness, as always, but was a good sport as always in putting up with abuse he got/deserved...

A great many beers turned most of the night into a blurry haze full of laughter....was a cracker...

Then crashed for the night in the caddy....and woke up with an evil headache for some strange reason...
A brew from Jellybaby "the upside down shock man" within seconds of my eyes opening helped kickstart the vital organs again...big thx...and a super brekky sarney from the Rich later, as we tryed to suss out Petes trucks problem, helped diliute the residual alcomohol...
Then a day chillin in the sun, recovering and watching some of the fellas playing in the mud, and helping do some bits on the trucks...

Blinder...absolute blinder...

Big shout to
Dwifty and Rich, the admin team, and my drinking buddies....a top event fella's,
Jellybaby, Robfog and everyone else who helped my "recovery" on Sunday
Fudge...for putting the work into get my Yella beasty up and running again and to the annual meet, and thanks to everyone who voted the yellafing as most modded truck, the trophy is sitting on my trophy shelf at home with pride...just need to build something else for next year to try and retain it...

And massive thanks to everyone who came and made this weekend yet another absolute cracker....cheers :drink: :drink: :drink:

Will upload a few pics I took later...

Thanks to Drift & co for organizing another brilliant annual also thanks to Jim for the BBQ  Wench and I had a great time in Tara and loved playing on the track and a days laning thanks to Ian. Only casualties our end was side indicator lens which was sorted thanks to bobby and enough bodywork scratches to make freddy kruger hang his head in shame.

Thank you to everyone for you tips, words of advice over the weekend they were invaluable as ever.

Roll on next year :D

Got home late last night after limping the truck the last 50 miles of so with a knackered front wheel bearing. The noises, rumbles and judders over the last few miles were quite alarming

It was a great meet, and was nice to catch up with a few old friends, but even nicer to meet lots of new ones, and I still didn't get to know all of you. (Also nice to find out that at least a few of you live within spitting distance of me, so we'll have arrange something one of these weekends)

As for photos, my 9 year old takes better pictures than me so I'll leave you with just one that she captured. I don't know who they were, but it was a nice bit of coreography
