Hi all

Im off to the canary islands for Christmas and new year this year, and lookingg for a decent compact camera to take with me, have a budget of about £100/£150 but cheaper the better really anyone got any ideas on one ? will be taking my Nikon DSLR for the days out and that this compact will o ly be used at night time and a few during the day when we dont want to carry around the DSLR.

We bought the Samsung ST66 recently and it is a great wee camera. Very chuffed with it. Under £70.00

With the flash up (you have to raise and lower the flash manually), and taking photo's within range of the flash it's not bad at all,

BUT

Out of range of the flash, or with the flash down it's only average in ambient night time lighting conditions, i.e. street lighting etc. It doesn't appear to have a dedicated night time mode.
