I have just been given back my android tablet from my son as he's not overly impressed with it and gone back to using his net book and windows 7. I know many of you use pads and laptop for navigation and I was wondering how it works, I use a mac at home due to my job and I don't have a pc at home. Is the mac or android pad in anyway compatible with memory map and or any other off road navigation software and if so how much money am I looking at forking out ? as I'm not really looking to spend loads on this but thought it might be an easy and cheap way of navigating off road on lanes etc my sat nav just say driving off road when I'm on lanes or just driving north, south etc
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy. Seek not excess, God hates he who roams !

Just tried it and it won't run on the pad I have as it doesn't have a version of java that's compatible with the version of android there is a patch but that has to be loaded by the manufacturer and is not an end user downloadable. That will teach me, buy cheap and buy twice I think the saying is

Blackberry are about to/have just released a patch/upgrade/something or other that will allow you to run Android apps on a Blackberry, believe this goes for the Playbook as well as the phones
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
