Web shop software

Web shop software

Postby FronteraGirl on Tue Sep 13, 2011 1:25 pm

I've been asked by a friend to set up a website for their farm shop. Just going to do a basic page at the moment, but if they wanted to be able to take orders and 'handle' money online in the future, does anyone know how much some software would cost for this?

I'm pretty sure paypal will do all this for free (setup that is) and take a cut of all payments. Worldpay is another

Trading Haggis I'll have you know

Thanks for those guys, I'll check them out. Might be worth setting an online order facility up if its FOC or cheap.

As a personal recommendation, I would go with osCommerce. Easy to set up and use, very well supported, and has many different payment plugins etc. Give me a shout if you need any help sorting it out :)
