Missing something ?

Hi All
My Daughter sent me this link www.watch-movies-az.com ..Movies you can watch on line for free , I have gone to their site, done what I am meant to do with downloads etc and for some reason it won't play on my lappy, I have had a new hard drive in it recently, so just wondered if I am meant to have something to down load and watch the films . like a '' film driver'' sorry that may not be the correct term for it
Just wondered if anyone could tell me where I am going wrong here please

your probably missing the correct codec to to play the movies, have a look round the site and see if theres a FAQ or help section.

Have downloaded this XviD codec

To play XviD videos you first need to install the XviD codec on your computer. To install the XviD codec, simply download the latest version of the codec available for your system and follow the installation instructions:


XviD codec v1.2.2 for Windows (637KB) and its still not working the buffering takes you to half way then stops

Generally you'll need to have the divx codec installed on your computer to watch the films.

Roo, rather than downloading individual codecs and hoping you get the one you need, your best bet is to download a package of them. Personally I like the KLite pack, which can be found HERE. It installs a whole bunch of different codecs as well as a nice little program to play stuff on.

Sorry I give up Downloaded that thing Chris and about 5 things appeared on my desktop screen thingy , and it still wouldn't work so have deleted the lot

just tried this site myself roo and it doesnt work here too and i have all the codecs,this site did however infest my system with malware/adware ect,i would suggest downloading malwarebytes(free) make sure you update the program then run a full scan

Roo You do know just deleting a program won't get rid of it yeah if you want to get rid of them you need to go to your "Set Program Access and Defaults" and do it from there, but often there is still bits of program left and what I do is go into" Program Files" and then delete any leftovers from the old programs.

You really should only download the specific codecs you need, downloading a large pack of them can cause all sorts of issues, even two you need can conflict, let alone a collection of a dozen or so that you dont need.

Roo try this player it will play almost anything: http://www.videolan.org it's all I ever use

ermm well I went to control panel and programs for deleting or removing and did it that way, was that in correct them please? If I have done it wrong, which wouldn't surprise me where is the access and defaults and where is program files please..
