Hi you can play games online on the 360.Cant view webpages though. If its the older 360 you can get a wireless adaptor for it.And should be able to use your broadband.Well my ps3 picks up 4 different connections. So in theory the wireless should find your router :D

Hi Guys
Thanks very much for that :D
I hadn't thought about a wireless adaptor that maybe a better option for him, I am guessing its the new 360, seeing as he got it today, but not totally sure sorry  ..
He doesn't have a computer just yet either..
Sorry this may sound dump, but I haven't a clue when it comes to games like this  but does he need a computer to connect to the internet, or if he gets that wireless adaptor thing, would he be able to connect to the internet and play on line? please

Lawrence that is very 8)

Thanks again
Cheers

hi roo if you have a wireless modem he can buy a wireless adaptor for his x box [ if it hasnt come with 1 ] & use your modem for internet connection if he can get the signal but it would be cheaper to just buy a wire & plug into your modem if hes only living next door if he didnt get the wireless adaptor supplied.they used to be approx £60
im not sure if the more expensive models have wireles fitted as standard now ?
WHY AINT I GOT AN ALL SINGING & ALL DANCING SIGNATURE LIKE BOXY & DRIFTY ?

That wont be the usual internet Roo, its to enable him to connect to the Microsoft games network with limited internet and enable him to play games online against other people in the world on that network.

exactly microsoft charge an annual premium to be able to play games over the internet but he will still have to have access to the internet through the usual ways to be able to do so.
if your modem has an aerial it must be wireless so he can use your wireless network [if close enough to get signal] if not as i said previously just buy a long cable so he can plug it into your modem & his xbox.

Thanks very much both  So does that mean he'll be paying twice then, or can he just use mine internet to play with others around the world say please or does he need the Microsoft network as well please?

He would connect to the Microsoft network via your connection, you nor he would need to pay any more for your internet connection but he would need to pay the £37ish to connect to the Microsoft Network.

roo
m/soft dont provide their own internet network, you just pay a yearly suscription that allows you to play other x box owners worldwide, you have to provide your own internet connection to be able to use the m/soft service !

edit - i wrote post while taking a long phone call before loading it up hence why my post is a mirror image of drifts - great minds and all that
