Deleting info?

Deleting info?

Postby hobsey on Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:17 am

Right, this is my last week in my job and I need to delete some info from my pc.

What I need to delete is the username/email addresses in forums, ebay and email accounts that I have used.

I have gone into tools and deleted history, cookies etc but they still show up when I go onto the websites when I type the first letter of whatever the site is asking for. :?

Please help.

Try going into "Tools" at the top of the screen, then "Internet Options" (a box will open) then into the "Content" tab and click on the "Auto Complete Settings" button and click "Delete Auto Complete History". This is on Windows 7, it was a similar thing on XP as well. Hope this helps ya. :)

I had to do the same in October, if you are using internet explorer there is a feature that basically takes it back to factory settings.
Go to internet options then click advanced tab, this then shows a reset button on the bottom, try that :D

Glad it worked for you, however I found this that could also be helpful for deleting info:

http://nextday.diy.com/app/jsp/product/productPage.jsp?productId=31390 :D

And you get next day delivery too.

If you use CCleaner go to options then settings and then use secure file deletion (Gutmann 35 passes) that will really clean your files out.
