quoting a previous post

Welcome messages and important info

Guys, please take note of this.

I have just removed 11 quotes out of a thread where two people where exchanging information, they quote every post each other made, there where only 12 posts in the thread.
There is no reason for a quote unless you need specific info from a post made several posts back, not the post above or two posts above, and if needed only quote the relevant section of the text and delete the rest and remove the pictures if they are in a quote.

The reason for this is to help others, by quoting everything you are near doubling the size of a thread for no reason and causing members to scroll through repeated posts trying to find info that might be useful to them and also we are in a mobile age, it is a nightmare to scroll through multiple quoted posts on a portable device, as many use smart phones and the like now next to their cars while working and getting info, so please show some respect for other users and not use the quote button unless absolutely necessary.

Guys could you please take note of this section of the forum rules.

Quoting previous posts in replies should be kept to a minimum, and only used to direct a reply to a post that is not immediately adjacent to (i.e. within a couple of posts) the reply. If a quote is required, only the pertinent text should be quoted and not the entire post. Any members that repeatedly use the quote facility inappropriately will receive a warning.

I know only a few do this and mostly out of habit but could you please refrain from this.
A lot of users now use mobile devices and quoting posts in this way slows down the loading of threads on a device and also makes the thread harder to navigate by reading a text twice for no reason.

Thanks for taking note.
