One word comes to mind 'GUTTED!'.

Cant believe the truck broke down on saturday meaning I couldnt attend.

Judging by them videos, I think I may have struggled with my standard road tyres on.

I think you'd have done better than you think, to be fair... Alright, some of the more challenging stuff may have been beyond road-tyres, but I'm sure you'd have enjoyed it. Besides, there's usually passenger seats free, hehe...
But yeah, you missed a cracker...

Now my turn to post

Firstly, much appreciation and thanks to Greg, for once again getting this shindig sorted, but in this case for his time, patience and determination in getting Lara's muddies onto the wheels - suffice to say, it was a bit of a mission.
Some sort of award should go to Sal I suspect, for her tolerance of this sort of thing
Thanks also to everyone else who made it, "usual suspects" or new faces. No point without the social side of things. To that end we had some wives / partners / dogs / children about, which helps also to make it a bit more than just a load of blokes talking about cars all day.

As Krusher mentioned, the site's dried out nicely with the result that everything is do-able (if you pick the right line). For me, what with the new tyres on, I noticed a huge difference, and was happily beetling around pretty much everywhere. Not to say I didn't get stuck though; needed 2 extractions, one of which was a nice one with the car hanging off a tree by the front bumper

Honourable mention must go to Greg's lil white leafer which, despite sufficient abuse by it's pilot to burst the radiator, was still going strong enough to drive the madman home again afterwards. Photo evidence of all this lot for the carnage gallery, I think when I gt the time.

All in all then, a bloomin' good day really.
Jim...

Well what a day :D

A thankyou to Tom for organising the convoy from this end.

A big thanks to Gregg and Sal for organising this excellent day :D

Thanks for the friendly welcome guys :D

Finally got my tyre from Jim and he took me out in his 2.8 and managed to get stuck in style

Without a doubt a brilliant day in the "woods" roll on next time :D

What a blinding day.. Great turnout!
Carnage, mud and mayhem followed.....

The site has dried out nicely, but still a few gloopy places to get your paintwork looking the way it should ;)

I had the first stuck of the day  - within 5 minutes of setting off - top bombhole and a bit too much caution and I ended up crossaxled, quick tug out and Martha spent the rest of the day charging round having fun..

Martha went topless for the day - and a fiend I brought got frozen on the way there - and back but good news.. No damage, broken bits of stuff falling off.

Huge thanks to everyone - in no particular order:
Tom - thanks for bringing the Rad (got Greg out of a pickle) and the lights (sorted out BadBoy last night), good to see you (and Mum) again
Greg - for the most entertaining extraction - 3 cars roped together to get Lil (white leafer) recovered after an extremely 'enthusiastic' attempt at a climb - The brain was certainly in the glovebox for that one!
2much - or "stuck again" as the FOG Frog became known - for the chef of the day award for manning the BBQ
Sal - well just for being Sal.. and keeping the kettles going (with Mum).
Krusher.. just for being Krusher really and the "mercy mission" with Tom, Vargas, myself and Graham to go and rescue Greg - Cameras ready!!
Houndog & tribe (kept Mel amused!)
mapracing (one armed bandit!!) great job on the car - looks fab!
Retro - always good company - you have a PM about the shackles
Vargas, Tazman and the other newbies - Welcome along! - nice to put a face to the name, hope you all had fun and will come again..

Heres the pics (and a couple of vids) i managed to take before the batteries in camera died...
2Much doing his stuff....

That's a shame mate.... You sure it's the diff, not just a hub or something that's let go??

Either way, it was nice to meet you, and your truck - you've done an amazing job there mate...

Did you check the cv joints mate....hope its not the diff, I aint got one! Might have a pair of cv joints lurking somewhere  ...need the ratio of em to try and get one (its on a tag behind one of the pumpkin retaining bolts on the front diff, you'll need to whip the bash plate off from underneath to get to it (and get mud fall on ya head!))

Dont let what you see in pics put you off coming, there are always spare seats and a good laugh to boot. There were a few fronties that never even
went into the woods that came on Sunday. Get youre name down for the next one whether the fronty is ready or not..
