Replacement swb 95 - 96.

Postby spd wxm on Fri Aug 15, 2008 7:42 pm

:) Hello all. well ive been looking to replace my 95 swb to many things going wrong or needing to be done before i can start to enjoy it.
4x4.2.jpg

Well going to have a look at a 96 model tomorrow that has never been offroad, now as far as i can tell the main difference only seems to be leaf springs to coil springs on the rear. Any thing else i shud lookout for? The other fronty (95) will be getting broken down next week befor i get it weighed in for scrap. Any body after parts let me know and we can sort out a price and pickup / delivery. The 95 passed the emisions part off the mot easy, it only failed on the front brake lines , the idler valve , the front headlight and the rear indicators. Apart from problems with the front diff and the gear box being a pian in the :butt: their is a lot that can be salvaged. Please dont ask for the tyres. :D . By for now.

The 96 will probably have the smooth dash, otherwise I can't thinj what else might be different (other than the rear suspension)

I'm after a speedo cable (without the white clip behind the clock binacle being broken)

The engine will be the slightly newer X20SE and have electric fan, rear disc brakes and star alloy wheels.
