Postby superslob on Fri Feb 01, 2008 5:23 pm

:D new to the forum and i hope this is in the right place, brought my lovely frontera about two weeks ago,(its only a 1993 model swb)and its brill dont think i've had a better 4x4, well my help is does anyone know where i can get a owners manual from as the last keeper of the car did'nt have one?? wouldn't ask but i have no idea how to put the car into 4 wd,also i was told when you take the car out of 4wd you have to reverse it a few yards so it does not damage the gear box is this true?? and also is it just the roof that comes off?? sorry about all the questions as i'v never owned one before not sure about all the bits and bobs

4wd is easy its next to gearbox lol depends what you want to do ... NEVER use it in 4wd on hard ground ... ie road surfaces etc and yes your supposed to reverse till you hear the clicking sound (which mine doesn't as i've taken front locking springs out so its better off road) when putting it back into 2wd! Others will be along to give better help soon!

I don't know whether to be angry or flattered that you have downloaded the owners manual I painstakingly created and then uploaded it to your own webspace.

It has always been available from this post:

Hi

I have been trying to get hold of a owners manuel for my 1999 Limited, B series (2.2 16L) for over a month now. Can I find one, NO.

I saw the link that had been posted for an A series, has anyone done the same for my Fronty?

I know it must take a while to upload etc but would be a great help as trying to find one to buy (VX no longer sell or people asking stupid money for) is proving harder than finding the holy grail!! :x
